Technical Equipment
Each conference room is equipped with a PC, a beamer, speakers, and an overhead projector. Furthermore, in each room, participants’ laptops can be connected with the video and audio equipment. There will be a technical assistant in every room throughout the entire day who will help you with all technical issues. We highly recommend that you run a short test presentation before your panel or session starts or during coffee and lunch breaks.
We strongly recommend using the media check-in at the conference office: You can simply hand in your presentation on a data carrier which will then be checked and afterwards transferred to the respective computer in the room of your presentation. This way, you can make sure that the presentation runs without any errors, you do not need to carry your laptop with you the entire conference day, and there will be less time loss due to the changing of individual laptops within one panel or session.
All participants of ICCA10 who are not going to give their presentation via their own laptop are kindly asked to hand in their presentation on a data carrier at the IT-desk the day before their presentation to make sure that everything works fine and that the presentation can be transferred to the respective computer in the presentation room.

Macintosh-Users would need to bring along their own laptops since the software in Germany is geared towards Microsoft.
In Germany, most technical equipment is geared towards Microsoft products. Thus, if you use Macintosh equipment, please bring along all proper adapters to connect your laptop with the video and audio equipment and plugs.
Electrical current in Germany is 230V (50Hz). Plugs which fit German wall sockets (= Type F) are two-prong plugs Type C ("Europlug") and Type F ("Schuko plug"). You might want to bring along adapters in case your technical devices require different voltage, plugs, or sockets.
