Heidelberg Sightseeing Tour

This tour will take you to Heidelberg, Germany's most famous city, and features the most interesting and historically significant sights of the city: the mystifying Heidelberg Castle and the romantic Old Town.

In over 300 years of construction the innovative complex of Gothic and Renaissance buildings of Heidelberg Castle was built to crown the picturesque and romantic city located on the river Neckar which is home to Germany’s oldest university found in 1385. In the past, Heidelberg was the residence of the emperors of the Wittelsbach dynasty. Nowadays, Heidelberg Castle is the most famous castle ruin in the world featuring the world’s largest wine barrel with a capacity of 221,726 liters in its impressive wine-cellar.

The romantic old town of Heidelberg, which is located between the “Alte Brücke” (Old Bridge) and the castle, enchants its visitors with its charming narrow alleys, numerous cafés, and vibrant atmosphere.

English-speaking local guides, dressed in historical costumes, will take you on a 3.5-hour tour of Heidelberg Castle and the old town of Heidelberg.

Details of the Tour: You will be picked up by a coach at the Ehrenhof (Court of Honor) of Mannheim Palace. After a 30-minute ride to Heidelberg, you will enjoy your guided tour of Heidelberg Castle and the old town. At 15.30, you will be driven back to Mannheim Palace.
