This sightseeing cruise covers some of the most scenic stretches of the River Rhine in the famous Middle Rhine Valley which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Go aboard and enjoy this fascinating tour which will take you back into an era full of knightly adventures and the mystifying and haunted atmosphere of ancient castles. Experience German history during your cruise on one of the oldest European trade routes while passing famous sights and landmark buildings such as the “Binger Loch,” which is the most difficult gorge portion for shipping, an ancient defence and watch tower called “Mäuseturm” (Mouse Tower), the ruin Ehrenfels, Castle Rheinstein, which nowadays features a museum with a collection of historical weaponry and suits of armor, as well as Castle Reichenstein, an ancient hideout for robber-knights.
Details of the Tour: You will be picked up by a coach at the Ehrenhof (Court of Honor) of Mannheim Palace. After a one-hour ride to Rüdesheim, you will arrive at Bingen where your 70-minute cruise on the Rhine will start. After the cruise, you will be driven back to Mannheim Palace.
