Tour of Schwetzingen Palace and the Palace Garden
Wednesday, July 7 from 15.00 until 18.00
This tour will carry you off to the splendor of the romantic Schwetzingen Palace and its opulent palace garden – a complex which Germans like to call the “Palatine Versailles.”
In 1742, the Elector Carl Theodor turned Schwetzingen Palace into his summer residence and was also responsible for the creation of the palace garden which is still considered to be one of the most beautiful European gardens.
English-speaking tour guides, dressed in historical costumes, will take you on a tour of the fascinating staterooms of the palace as well as the impressive palace garden which has been nominated to be included into the UNESCO World Heritage list.
