Vineyard Tour & Wine-Tasting in Deidesheim

This tour will take you on a delicious journey to a vineyard and winery in Deidesheim, which is one of the most renowned wine-growing villages of the Palatinate and honored for its world-famous Riesling wines.

An English-speaking expert guide will take you one a 90-minute walking tour through one of Deidesheim’s beautiful vineyards and provide you with interesting information on winegrowing.

After the vineyard tour, you will visit the Kern Family Winery which is centrally located in the palace garden in the center of Deidesheim. The wine-tasting tasting will take place in the winery’s vault cellar, built in the 12th century. During the 90-minute event, you will taste six different kinds of wine. Water and farmhouse bread will be served along the wine. 

Subsequently, you can either have lunch at the winery or saunter through the picturesque city center of Deidesheim whose old town has numerous landmark buildings such as St. Ulrich’s Church, the historical City Hall or the palace garden.

Details of the Tour: You will be picked up by a coach at the Ehrenhof (Court of Honor) of Mannheim Palace. After a 30-minute ride to Deidesheim, you will enjoy your guided tour of the vineyard. Afterwards, you will enjoy the wine-tasting. At 16.00, you will be driven back to Mannheim Palace.

Please note that there are two different booking options and prices for this event: If you prefer having lunch at the winery, the total price for transportation, the guided vineyard tour, the wine-tasting, and lunch at the winery amounts to 60EUR/person. The price of the complete tour excluding lunch at the winery amounts to 45EUR/person.
